Panel of discussion - Diversity and inclusion in the workplace
On Wednesday 21st March, members from the CCFS, AmCham, the Dutch Chamber and the SGLCC gathered at the Dutch Embassy for a panel discussion on diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
The evening started with an introduction by Maarten Merckx, Chairman of the Dutch Chamber, followed by a speech given by Ines Coppoolse, first woman to be Ambassador of the Netherlands in Sweden.
The panel of discussion was led by Tobias Holfelt, Chairman of the SGLCC. The panel was composed of Niclas Källbom (CEO GSK Sweden), Peter Zerp (Driving Supplier Inclusion & Diversity at Accenture), Markus Håkansson (Sustainability Expert at Grant Thornton), Alf Kjeller (Alf Kjeller Consulting), and Anki Elken (Head of Sustainability at Randstad Sweden).
The panel broached subjects such as inclusion in the workplace, exposed the benefits of diversity for a company and condemned the problems that people from the LGBTI community encounter on a regular basis, in their professional lives. They shared with us their meaningful experience and answered the questions from the audience.
The discussion was followed by the distribution of three “Diversity SGLCC 2017” awards. The laureates are Swedavia for the “SGLCC 2017 Diversity Ranking”, Alf Kjeller for “Supplier of the Year”, and Fredrik Fredriksson for “Ally of the Year".
The event ended with mingle and networking with all the attendees.
