Have a look back on our last network workshop session

The second and last session of the network workshop, led by leadership and career coach  Christelle Pottinger, took place on Wednesday 2 December. After the first session, during which participants were able to exchange ideas and receive advice from Christelle, the aim was to put this advice into practice in order to discuss the results one month later. This second session was therefore an opportunity for the participants to discuss with each other the methods used to expand their professional network.

At the beginning of your search, it may be interesting to ask for contacts in Sweden from your French network. If successful, such action can open new doors in an otherwise unknown country. The discussion then shifted to the different strategies used to contact someone new. Due to the current sanitary crisis, the development of a professional network is almost entirely done online. Although different from physical meetings, social and digital platforms can provide important support to professionals. For example, sending a message on LinkedIn and presenting one's professional project can facilitate the creation of contact with other professionals.

The approach used should also be adapted to the country. What may work in France or in the UK, may not work in Sweden. In this matter, the participants were able to discuss what they found to work well with Swedish contacts, and what did not.

After both workshops, we thank our participants and wish them all the best in their professional project! We also thank Christelle Pottinger for her advice and ideas during both sessions.
