General Assembly and UEFA Euro 2016 Kick-off

Thank you everyone who attended a great event last Monday!
The event, which was co-hosted with Haymarket by Scandic and Lagardère Sports, carried out a great success with over 80 attendees. On May 23rd our General Assembly took place at the fantastic Art deco inspired hotel Haymarket by Scandic, only days after its grand opening evening. We were pleased to show our members to this new vibrant place located in the building of the former department store PUB.
The event began with a walkthrough of the year of 2015 by our Managing Director, Victor Millien. The major happenings last year include the increase by 31% of the French Chamber’s consulting services and the agreement signed regarding our cooperation with Business France. The focus later moved on to the present which has brought a new, fully bilingual and bicultural team - an added value to the Chamber. Some of our projects for the rest of the year include the launch of our online platform for members, committee groups, and a possible relocation of our office.
Towards the end, the French Ambassador, Jacques Lapouge, thanked our President, Johan Stenberg for his services. The Election Committee has suggested our Vice President, Yves Chantereau, as the new President of the Chamber. We are also very pleased to welcome four great new members to our board of directors: Eva Kristensson, Sodexo; Per Kaufmann, Media Markt; Susanne Morandini, Regus; Erika Charbonnel, Kairos Future.
After the general Assembly, Lagardère Sports introduced their Hospitality packages for the UEFA Euro 2016 and all the opportunities that they offer at Friends Arena in Stockholm. Who knew that you could book conferences in their official pressroom, followed by a high wire tour under the roofs of the Arena?
From the beautiful room where we had our General Assembly, we walked down the red stairs to the “Mezzanine” where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and were able to reload our batteries before the very exiting lottery held to UEFA Euro 2016 and Lagardère Sports). The lottery consisted of very impressive prizes, Sky Boxes at Friends Arena, conference packages including very rare activities at the pitch, and not to mention, VIP Gold passes to the UEFA EURO 2016 game Sweden-Belgium in Nice.
It is needless to say that this was a very successful event!
