CSR Committee Meeting with H&M

The CSR committee convened on 18th february to discuss sustainability with H&M.

We felt privileged to take part in a productive discussion with Pascal Brun, Head of Sustainability of H&M. As a major player in the fashion industry, the company wants to position itself at the forefront of sustainable fashion. Mr. Brun explained that in order to achieve this, both environmental and social agendas have to be taken into account for increased circularity and fairness.

Ambitious initiatives are underway to be able to recycle "garment to garment", when today most of the clothes collected in-store are recycled in industrial use, for example as stuffing for car interiors. The company is developing numerous partnerships (Re-Newcel, Agraloop and Wastematerial) as well as business ventures to accelerate transformation and develop circular business models: Sellpy (secondhand), Treadler (B2B supply chain enabler).

We thank Pascal Brun for taking the time to meet with us and to go through H&M latest actions with regards to sustainability.
