CCFS General Assembly 2017

Thank you everyone for participating at our General Assembly on May 17.

The CCFS welcomed 60 guests at our office space at United Spaces in the Waterfront Building at the heart of Stockholm.

The Assembly commenced with a recap of 2016 under which the CCFS organised 18 events for our Business Network. In September, we moved to an innovative and creative co-working space at United Spaces together with Amcham, Swedish Chamber Trade and BSCC. Our goal is to host employees of French companies without a Swedish HQ and create synergies between our organizations which enables us to develop a more agile and innovative chamber.

We also launched our first CCFS Committee, the HR Committee. The goal with these interactive committees is to create a platform where members who share the same area of expertise can share ideas and discuss the challenges and future of their domaine. 2016 was also the start of our geographical expansion as the opening of United Spaces in Malmö and Gothenburg enables us to reinforce our presence in these regions.

During the Assembly, we took the time to thank Jean-Claude Celle, a board member and treasurer which mandate ended this year. He will be replaced by Guillaume Lefebvre, Senior Country Officer Nordic Region at Crédit Agricole-CIB.

When the General Assembly was concluded, Martin Anderlin, Head of Business Development at Northvolt spoke about their plans to build a "gigafactory" by 2024 in either Sweden or Finland. This factory would lead to the creation of 3000 new jobs and the project also addresses the need of renewable energy sources in the future of transportation.

Finally, our guests enjoyed an informal networking lunch and the possibilty to explore our facilities.
