A Flourishing Experience to Discover the Swedish Model
We invite you to visit Stockholm with your team or students as part of a series of encounters with passionate speakers with unique professional backgrounds. They will share their experiences of the international business world, provide insights into sector-specific practices and introduce you to innovative companies. You will discover a forward-thinking model that, given its already positive results, is set to influence Europe and the world in the years to come.
In many areas, Sweden and its capital Stockholm are full of distinctive features. First and foremost, there is a unique professional culture, built on strong horizontal management and mutual trust, fostering collaboration and personal development. Stockholm is also a hub for innovation, home to no fewer than 40 competitiveness clusters and 43 incubators — partly explaining the emergence of 7 unicorns in recent years, these being start-ups that have reached a valuation of over one billion dollars. Per capita, Stockholm ranks second in the world behind Silicon Valley in the emergence of unicorns, and is frequently ranked as the most innovative city in Europe.
Stockholm is also at the forefront of sustainable development and smart cities. The city is home to genuine experimentation zones, such as the Hammarby Sjöstad eco-district — a world reference in the field — and has set highly ambitious targets, aiming to become a fossil-fuel-free city as early as 2040.
The French-Swedish Chamber of Commerce offers you a unique, tailor-made visiting programme to discover a different model and a different Stockholm, in the form of a group Learning Expedition.

"Thanks to your knowledge of Sweden and your organisational genius, you allowed us to immerse ourselves in Sweden's open and tech-driven spirit in less than 3 days. This learning expedition was truly inspiring a refreshing and energising breath of Scandinavian air. For the students, the lessons were numerous; they were delighted, as many of them had no idea that Sweden was so active and advanced in terms of tech. They discovered the Swedish ecosystem and the key success factors, as well as the importance of work-life balance for Swedes. The programme was packed and varied, with highly expert speakers, all conveying their passion. For me, mission accomplished!"
Sandrine Macé, Scientific Director of the IoT Chair, ESCP Europe Business School
