What if your greatest mistakes were actually your most valuable asset? Save The Date of October 19 for an inspiring future-focused mingle with creative futurist, author, key-note speaker and professor Stefan Engeseth.

In collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce in Sweden, we invite you to an evening that will challenge the way you think about business, innovation, and the future.

About the speaker

Meet Stefan Engeseth, creative futurist, five-time author, keynote speaker, and guest professor who has spent over three decades exploring the possibilities of the future. Through interviews and collaborations with researchers, leaders, and innovators around the world, Stefan has taken deep dives into psychology, technology, evolution, business development, and AI, in short, all the fields that shape tomorrow's organisations and societies. The result is a unique ability to see patterns where others see chaos, and to challenge both established truths and habitual ways of thinking.

About the lecture

In his latest book Homo Stupido, Stefan highlights a fascinating paradox: our ability to make mistakes is not a weakness, it can be recycled and transformed into powerful innovation, progress, and long-term sustainability. Drawing also on his acclaimed works Sharkonomics and One, Stefan shows how nature's strategies and the behaviour of sharks can inspire new business models, market adaptation, and successful challenges to the status quo.

This is not a conventional lecture, but an experience with humor, sharp analysis, and thought-provoking examples.

What you will take away

During the session, you will gain concrete insights and tools to:

  • Turn wrong decisions and failures into fuel for new thinking and innovation
  • Learn from nature's strategies for adaptation, survival, and growth
  • Understand why the future of business requires courage, not perfection
  • Explore how "the right kind of stupidity" can become a strategic resource
  • Build a "talent garden" where people and ideas can grow in the right environment

The evening

The lecture will be followed by a mingle over drinks in the stunning setting of the Dutch Embassy, a perfect opportunity to continue the conversation, exchange ideas, and connect with fellow members from both chambers.

For those who want to stay one step ahead, think differently, and find power in the unexpected.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Registration opens at the end of August.
