Event Recap: An Evening with Stefan Engeseth, Turning Mistakes into Innovation

What if your biggest missteps were actually your most valuable strategic asset?

On October 19th, the CCFS and the Dutch Chamber of Commerce brought their members together at the Embassy of the Netherlands for an inspiring evening alongside author Stefan Engeseth.

Drawing on key insights from his books Homo Stupido and Sharkonomics, Stefan challenged conventional thinking with both humor and sharp perspective:

  • Recycling failure: transforming the “right kind of mistake” into a powerful engine for creativity and resilience.
  • Learning from nature: leveraging the agility of ecosystems to rethink business models.
  • Choosing courage over perfection: creating an environment where talent and new ideas can truly thrive.

Thanks to a highly interactive format that gave the audience room to reflect, the talk sparked lively discussions, which continued during the convivial mingle between our two business communities.

A warm thank you to Stefan Engeseth for his thought-provoking insights, as well as to Saskia Duursema, Lisa Le Feber, and the entire Dutch Chamber team for this wonderful collaboration!

See you soon,

The CCFS Team
