In a context of European energy crisis, innovations in new technologies, policy instruments and new behaviours that put individual energy savings into a wider context are needed. 

But what innovations can make us smarter energy users? And more generally, how efficiency can get us out of the energy crisis ?

• Mikael Malmaeus, from IVL Swedish Environmental Institute
