France–Sweden: What’s next for the strategic partnership?

On April 14, 2026, the French Chamber of Commerce in Sweden and the French Embassy in Sweden invited you to an exceptional event: The high-level seminar : 2 years after the state visit of Emmanuel Macron !

This prestigious event will bring together leaders from business, government, and diplomacy to reflect on the progress achieved over the past two years and to explore future opportunities and challenges in key strategic sectors: Energy, Digital Innovation, Strategic Defense, and more.

At the heart of the seminar are the questions shaping the Franco-Swedish partnership:

• How can France and Sweden accelerate joint energy projects and support the green transition?
• What opportunities does digital innovation offer for collaboration between our businesses and startups?
• How can our countries strengthen strategic defense cooperation in a changing European and global context?

By attending, you will gain first-hand updates on these strategic sectors directly from the key decision-makers driving the Franco-Swedish partnership forward. 

The seminar will feature an engaging format combining high-level roundtables and TED-style talks led by distinguished guests from government, industry, and diplomacy. Moderated by Katerina Tracz, an experienced facilitator specializing in high-level strategic dialogues at the intersection of business, innovation, and public policy across Europe.

We are proud to announce the participation of prominent speakers, as for example :

- Thierry Carlier : Ambassador of France to Sweden since March 2025. Former Deputy Director General of the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), with a 34-year career in defence and strategic affairs. 

- Jacob Wallenberg : Chair of Investor AB and Vice Chair of Ericsson. Also serves as Chair of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and is a member of the European Round Table of Industrialists.

- Anna Stellinger : Director General for International and EU Affairs at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, leading international trade and EU coordination. Heads the organization's EU office in Brussels.

- Peter Sandwall : State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of Defence since 2022. Previously served as Governor of Kalmar County and Director General of the Swedish Armed Forces.

- Christian Danielsson : State Secretary for EU Affairs, Sweden. Former Director-General for Neighbourhood Policy at the European Commission and Sweden's Permanent Representative to the EU.

- Anders Ynnerman : Professor of Scientific Visualization at Linköping University and Chair of the Wallenberg AI Program (WASP). Board member of Saab and Director of Strategic Research at the Knut & Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

- Johan Köhler : R&D Director at the Swedish Space Agency

- Maria Nilsson, State Secretary to Minister for Higher Education and Research

- Jean-Noël de Galzain, Chairman of Hexatrust, CEO and Founder of WALLIX

- David Sikström, State Secretary for Business and Industry

-  Corinne Lonchampt, Deputy Director General of the French Armament General Directorate (DGA)

- Clara Chappaz : French Ambassador for Digital Affairs and Artificial Intelligence. Former Minister Delegate for AI and Digital Affairs and former Director of La Mission French Tech.

- Thierry Coulhon : President of Institut Polytechnique de Paris and current President of the EuroTech Universities Alliance. Former advisor for education and research at the office of President Emmanuel Macron.
