15 maj - Årstämma

Our 100th General Assembly was held on May 15 and the CCFS welcomed 50 guests and member companies to our offices in the Waterfront Building at the heart of Stockholm.

The French Ambassador in Sweden, Mr. David Cvach, gave the opening statements to the General Assembly, underlining the importance of keeping good diplomatic relations between France and Sweden, but also creating a more dynamic business environment which enables Swedish and French companies to expand internationally on the two markets.

The Ambassador's opening statement was followed by a panel discussion between former Chairmen of the CCFS board Jean-Louis Gave, Michel Wlodarczyk and Johan Stenberg, as well as the current Chairman Yves Chantereau. Eva Kristensson, Board member and Communication Director at Sodexo, moderated the panel. They discussed the organisational challenges of their time, the past and future of the CCFS, and the way the Chamber has modernized itself these past years.

The panel was followed by  a recap of 2017 under which the CCFS organised 22 events for our Business Network and accompanied 42 companies on both the Swedish and French markets. The CCFS hosted 7 French companies through our French Hub consisting of 8 VIE employees and 5 permanent employees. The year of 2017 was once more marked by our geographical expansion as the opening of United Spaces in Gothenburg enables us to reinforce our presence in the three biggest cities in Sweden and brings us closer to our members present in these regions.

Once the General Assembly was concluded, Björn Hugosson, Head of Climate at the City of Stockholm, discussed urban mobility and electric vehicles as part of Stockholm's Vision goals of being fossil-fuel free by 2040. His presentation was followed by Anders Berger’s, Director of Public Affaires at Volvo Group, who presented the new opportunities for urban planning and the future of electric, automated and connected vehicles.

Finally, our guests enjoyed an informal networking lunch and mingle on our sunny terrace.

We would like to give a special thanks our guest speakers for their interesting insights, the former Chairmen of the Board and of course to all of the members. We hope to see you at our next event.
