On November the 24th the members of the French Chamber of Commerce had the great pleasure of listening to Meg Tivéus, a charismatic and inspiring profile and well-known in the Swedish business world. Our member company Adecco hosted the lunch conference with one of the most successful Swedish female business leaders. Meg Tivéus has held leading positions and CEO jobs in Holmen, Posten, Svenska  spel and the Åhléns Group. Today, Meg is a professional board member with assignments in Swedish Match, Boss media, Billerud, Cloetta, etc. She is also chairman of the Swedish Marketing Federation.

Meg shared her views on leadership and the characteristics of good leaders.
Meg pointed out that in order to be a good leader it is important to like people and always treat them with respect. Leaders of today must love to implement changes and be emotionally and socially intelligent. Changes are speeding up and you must be able to calculate on the unpredictable. A leader of today must also be very social and have great communications skills, both internally and externally. The success factors that Meg pointed out were to focus on what you can change and achieve, get the best staff and make your staff involved, give priority to business and profitability, be passionate and have a complete life.
